There will be a number of festival bus services operating between the festival and surrounding areas, including frequent shuttle services to Brunswick Heads and Byron Bay from Wednesday for campers staying on site.

Stay tuned for more details.

Byron Bay and the surrounding areas are serviced by numerous airport shuttles.

Byron Ballina Gateway Airport (ballinabyronairport.com.au) is the closest to Byron Bay, about 25mins and is about 40minutes south of the event venue. Ballina Byron Gateway offers up to 58 direct flights per week on Virgin Australia, Jetstar and Rex and is a proud sponsor of Splendour in the Grass.

Shuttles also operate from Gold Coast Airport and Brisbane Airport. Most have good online booking facilities. Check to see if they list Splendour or North Byron Parklands as a drop-off/pickup point. We recommend booking in advance as these services are very popular.

Byron Bay Taxis byronbaytaxis.com.au (Ph 02-6685 5008) will have vehicles servicing the site. These taxis cover the Byron Bay, Brunswick Heads and Mullumbimby areas. The taxi rank will be situated near the bus loop close to the entrance to the entertainment precinct.

Tweed Taxis will also be on site tweedtaxis.com.au or phone 1300 656 818. Their vehicles will service areas north of North Byron Parklands.

In order to minimise the number of private vehicles travelling to and from the festival, we need to encourage car-pooling as much as possible. As one of the ways to encourage ride-sharing, we will be requiring all vehicles entering the site to carry a pre-purchased Campers Carpark Pass, RV Park Pass, Day Parking Pass.

The number of vehicle passes available each day will be capped. This will serve to limit the number of vehicles entering the site each day which will reduce the potential for traffic to clog local roads and site entries.

There will be different car passes for the campers carpark, RV Park and for the venue day carpark. These passes will be on sale from Moshtix in mid June at a date to be advised.

Campers driving to the site will need to pre-purchase a Campers Carpark Pass. Campers driving to the site with a camper trailer, caravan, RV or vehicle to sleep in will need to pre-purchase an RV Park Pass. Those wanting to use the venue day carpark will require a Day Parking Pass.

Those who intend camping with us have the choice of pre-purchasing a Campers Carpark Pass or RV Park Pass for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday. If you want to arrive on a particular day, you’ll need to get onto moshtix.com.au and secure a pass when they go on sale.

Day parkers can choose between Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Please note the day carpark is NOT open on Wednesday or Thursday.

The good news is that if you do car-pool you can get your money back on your pass. Event and Camping ticketholders can get their Campers Carpark Pass fee refunded if they arrive with 3 or more people in their car. Day parkers can get a refund (based on a daily parking fee) if their vehicle contains 4 or more occupants. To get your refund, staff will scan your vehicle pass on arrival, verifying that all occupants within the vehicle are valid festival ticket holders, and will then issue you with a refund voucher if you have the correct number of people in your car to receive a refund. This voucher will contain information on where you can redeem it within the event area to get your car pass money back.
