Splendour In the Grass has noticed tickets for sale on online auction sites, predominantly Gumtree.
 
DO NOT BUY THESE TICKETS!! They CANNOT be transferred into your name by the seller.
 
Splendour tickets include the name and date of birth of the purchaser. This is checked against your ID at the festival gates. There is no facility in place that allows a ticketholder to change the name and date on a ticket and transfer it to another person.
 
Because it is apparent that many people intended to abuse any Reissue (aka ticket transfer) option we may have provided this year, we have decided NOT TO OFFER SUCH A REISSUE FACILITY for 2013. We introduced this facility in 2011 (alongside the existing Resale facility) and repeated it last year as a way of providing flexibility to patrons who could no longer attend but who had a person known to them to whom they could transfer their ticket. 
 
This unfortunately opened a window for scalpers to on-sell a number of 2012 Splendour tickets at a premium. While we have always been anti-scalping, we felt that this downside was outweighed by providing a service to those who legitimately wanted to transfer their ticket to someone else. Unfortunately now it appears that the number of people intending to use this option to scalp tickets has increased to the point where it outweighs the positives provided to our patrons.
 
Splendour in the Grass wants you to pay the correct, advertised price for your ticket/s and not be exploited by those looking to capitalise on fans of the festival who may have missed out on getting a ticket.
 
Removing the reissue facility removes the opportunity for scalping. 
 
It also stops the growing number of fraudsters offering non-existent “tickets” for sale which last year were bought by unsuspecting victims who never saw the ticket or their money ever again. We advised those caught out this way to contact Police. As the tickets were not bought through the official Moshtix system (as advised by Splendour), there was nothing else we could do to help them.

RESALES

While we will NOT be providing a service whereby tickets can be transferred from one person to another, we will be offering the RESALE facility where unwanted tickets can be placed in a pool of tickets for resale to another party unknown to the original ticketholder. This ensures that those wanting to buy a ticket pay the correct, advertised price. 
 
Please note this is not a direct refund system for unwanted tickets. The original holder of the ticket gets their money (less fees) back only when a third party purchases their ticket. 
 
The RESALE facility will kick off via www.moshtix.com.au on June 5. More details soon.
 
Remember! You can only purchase legitimate Splendour tickets via our official ticketing provider, Moshtix. Do not buy tickets from unauthorised sellers.
 
Both Splendour in the Grass and Moshtix have written to Gumtree instructing them to remove any Splendour tickets. It is worth noting that there are no Splendour in the Grass tickets on eBay. They at least appear to have done their homework.

It's that time of year again!Tickets to SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS 2013 will be going on sale tomorrow, THURSDAY 2 MAYat 9amAEST, through moshtix either online at moshtix.com.au or by phone on  1300 438 849 . Here's some info about the process to help you prepare.

When tickets go on sale tomorrow at 9am AEST, please remember it is likely that there will be a large number of people attempting to access the moshtix website or call centre. That may mean that not everyone who logs on or calls to buy tickets will get through straight away. Please be patient and follow the instructions and hopefully you'll get to join us at SPLENDOUR 2013.

Once again in partnership with Climate Friendly, Splendour is offering enviro-savvy punters the opportunity to purchase aCARBON OFFSET TICKET ADD-ON .This long-standing environmental program allows people to offset some or all of their travel carbon emissions. Your $3.00(inc GST) payment will be invested by Climate Friendly in renewable energy generation and forest protection projects. As a result your travel emission (up to 450km) will be offset through this investment. Thank you for caring for our climate!

3 DAY TICKET  - $350* + $9 booking fee

*Don't forget camping tickets can cover up to 5 nights at North Byron Parklands (from Wednesday 24 to Monday 29 July), although you'll need to make yourself aware of vehicle entry arrangements so you can arrive on the day of your choice. Car passes are on sale via Moshtix from June 12.

PREPARING TO BUY TICKETS

You will be required to enter the FIRST & LAST NAME + DATE OF BIRTH OF EVERY PERSON YOU ARE BUYING TICKETS FOR, so ensure you have this information ready before you try tobuy tickets, and that your friends name'sspelling and dates of birth are correct.

If you already have a moshtix account (moshfile), use your existing log in details. If you do not have a moshtix account you can create one now by going to the moshtix sign-in page. You can also create your moshtix account during the ticket purchase transaction but it is recommended that you have a moshtix account setup beforehand to speed up your purchase process.

If you have an account but are unsure of your password go to the moshtix sign-in page and enter your email address into the email address field, then click the 'Forgotten your password' link underneath the password field. Your password will be resent to your registered email address.

If you have any technical difficulties, don't panic. Please send an email to ticketsupport@moshtix.com.au containing your contact details and as much information as possible about your enquiry. Moshtix will endeavour to answer all enquiries within72 hours.

COUNTRY CLUB

We've had a lot of interest in the COUNTRY CLUB TICKETS, which you can learn more about here.A common question is whether the Country Club ticket includes camping. Yes, it does. If you want to camp on-site in the Country Club camping area, then you can do that without needing to also buy a Camping Ticket. If, on the other hand, you're planning to stay off-site,then we can provide you with reserved parking close to the festival entry. Those of you who choose to camp with us will be located in your own Country Club camping area close to the entertainment area.

All Country Clubbers will gain access to the exclusive Country Club Bar, located beside the Supertop in an elevated position with views to the stage. There'll be free phone charging, complimentary cloakroom vouchers, t-shirt, program, poster plus the club's own toilets. A Country Club Concierge will also be provided to communicate with you before, during and after the event to make sure you can make the most of your time with us.

This year SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS finally moves to its idyllic, permanent home at North Byron Parklands. Picture wide green meadows, flower covered dams, trees, trees and more trees. From July 26 – 28 this eden will be transformed into a nirvana for music and arts enthusiasts. 

“It has been a long road but it’s been so worth it! We’re finally presenting Splendour at its permanent home at North Byron Parklands. The site is currently being prepared for our ‘housewarming’ and we are super excited to show off our new digs!” said co-producers Jessica Ducrou and Paul Piticco.

Over three monumental days, punters can random shuffle their feet between 80+ of the hottest acts on offer today, from global tastemakers to the “ones to watch” to festival favourites as you’ve never seen them before, to seasoned internationals and truly iconic Australian acts.

SPLENDOUR 2013 will include all of the event’s popular festival features plus some super new additions!

No Splendour experience is complete without a few lost hours in the TIPI FOREST, the quintessential Byron experience. Also channeling the essence of “The Bay”, GLOBAL VILLAGE is back with all the performances, workshops, market stalls and global food fair that everyone loves. Factor them both in!

One of Splendour’s most popular daytime spaces, the SPLENDOUR FORUM will once again discuss both the heavy and featherweight issues, and philosophical questions with a good deal of entertaining random banter thrown in!

Keep your eyes peeled for the SPLENDOUR ARTS series of dynamic and interactive artworks including the so bad it’s good TENT OF MIRACLES. Look up, look down, look all around for artists and their work as it emerges across the site throughout the weekend.

SPLENDOUR IN THE CRAFT. “Finally!” we hear you say. Yep, we thought so too. You can expect a bunch of crafternoon workshops like Upcycle Your Merch and Pimp Your Tent. There’ll be lunchtime Crafty Sessions with talks by some awesome crafters. We’ll also have some of our more crafty musicians dropping by. Plus there’ll be suitcase rummages, markets and more. So much goodness!

MISS SAIGON KARAOKE. We all know how this goes! It had to happen. Way overdue!

THE RED BULL MUSIC ACADEMY is a world-travelling series of music workshops, gigs and info sessions. It’s a platform for those who make a difference in today’s music landscape. This year, the Academy celebrates its 15th birthday, with New York as the host city. As part of the local Aussie celebrations, Red Bull Music Academy will be curating its own stage, assembling an all-star cast of local and international artists to further your musical education. Stay tuned for the announcement of artists that will be performing on the Academy stage!

Car Passes
We want to make sure that we avoid heavy traffic congestion when arriving and departing Splendour 2013 and we have spent an enormous amount of time working on initiatives that will simultaneously ease traffic on local roads around the venue area, whilst also creating a greener event. In an effort to radically reduce traffic congestion, we will be implementing a car pass system that will encourage carpooling. This is a system that has been successfully deployed in the past. Vehicle Entry Passes will be required for all vehicles entering the site.  Stay tuned for more info on how you can get your hands on one.

TRANSPORT
Regular shuttles will run between surrounding areas and North Byron Parklands, including Byron Bay, Brunswick Heads, Ocean Shores, South Golden Beach, North Ocean Shores, New Brighton, Mullumbimby, Ballina, Lennox Head, Bangalow, Tweed Heads and Coolangatta.
Shuttle tickets will be available in advance from Moshtix from June 12.
