TRAVELLING BY BUS
Buses will operate to and from locations surrounding our venue at North Byron Parklands, providing destinations with either frequent ‘Shuttle’ services or timetabled ‘Scheduled’ services.
Visit the Bus Information page for all Routes, Fares & Timetables in coming weeks.
DROP OFF/PICK UP
Please DO NOT Drop Off/Pick Up Patrons along Tweed Valley Way or surrounding areas, as this is dangerous not only for pedestrians and vehicles but also causes traffic delays. Fines apply.
Dropping off on local roads will leave you with a long dangerous walk to get to the event entry gate. Not only that, but working out where to be picked up is even harder, leaving you waiting on the road side whilst your lift tries to negotiate the changed traffic conditions put in place to assist the exiting traffic.
Be sensible: Catch the shuttle bus or, if you are getting dropped-off, follow the signs to the designated Drop Off/Pick Up point at North Byron Parklands.
TRAVELLING BY TAXI OR UBER
Byron Bay Taxis byronbaytaxis.com.au (Ph 02-6685 5008) will have vehicles servicing the site. These taxis cover the Byron Bay, Brunswick Heads and Mullumbimby areas. Tweed Taxis will also be on site tweedtaxis.com.au or phone 1300 656 818. Their vehicles will service areas north of North Byron Parklands.
The taxi rank is located just inside Gate C (near the main entry gate off Tweed Valley Way). Follow the pedestrian walkway towards the South Car Park from the Festival.
TAKING A PRIVATE TRANSFER
Many Private Transfer and Limousine companies service Byron Bay and surrounding areas. A private transfer is a good option if you are traveling from any of the local airports.
For a private sedan or limousine transfer to your accommodation you can book with the following companies online via Jayride. We recommend booking in advance, as these services are very popular and they will book out.

TRAVELLING IN YOUR OWN CAR
In order to minimise the number of private vehicles travelling to and from the festival, we need to encourage car-pooling as much as possible. As one of the ways to encourage ride-sharing, we will be requiring all vehicles entering the site to carry a pre-purchased CAMP WITH VEHICLE PASS, CAMP WITHOUT VEHICLE PASS or DAY PARKING PASS.
The number of vehicle passes available each day will be capped. This will serve to limit the number of vehicles entering the site each day which will reduce the potential for traffic to clog local roads and site entries.
More info can be found in our Vehicle Passes FAQs.
BP Brunswick business hours are 8:00am-6:00pm weekdays, Saturday 22 July 7:30am-2:00pm & Sunday 23 July 9:00am-3:00pm. Alternatively the Shell Service Station at Tyagarah operates from 7:00am-6:00pm.
NOTICE TO PRIVATE CHARTER SERVICES:
All private operators planning to transport Splendour in the Grass Patrons or guests to North Byron Parklands will need to contact us for site access authorisation at: [email protected]
Unauthorised charter service vehicles are not permitted on the property.

TRAVELLING BY TRAIN
Byron Bay no longer has a local train service. You can purchase a train ticket to Byron Bay but the train trip only takes you to Casino (from Sydney) or Grafton (from Brisbane).
