Applications are now open for #SITG2024 Volunteers!
Splendour in the Grass has a long running program where you can Volunteer your time in exchange for a ticket to the festival.
It sure is! Our ‘Team Splendour HQ’ brings together like-minded music enthusiasts, in a safe and inclusive environment. At Splendour, the community is at the core of everything we do. This is your opportunity to Volunteer alongside your mates or make some new lifelong friendships, all coming together to bring #SITG2024 to life. Team Splendour HQ is home to our Volunteers and Workers throughout their stay onsite. Located in the Team Splendour campground with its own toilet and shower facilities, this home base has areas to play games and meet others, take some time to chill out when you need it, or use the HQ kitchen for your campsite tea break.
Our #SITG2024 Volunteers dedicate 18-20 hours of their time, spread across a few shifts throughout the event week. We work hard to make our rosters as fair as possible, ensuring you have lots of time to enjoy #SITG2024. PLUS, you get to bring your tent and enjoy our exclusive Volunteer and Worker Campground onsite. Event Volunteers MUST be available from 12 pm TUESDAY 16 JULY to 3 pm MONDAY 22 JULY. We understand this may be longer than expected, but Volunteers play a key role in making sure everyone gets in and out of the festival smoothly. This means we’ve got to get you all onsite and set up before the patrons start rolling in.
All Volunteers must be over the age of 18. While we see a lot of younger people applying, there is no upper age limit, and we warmly welcome Volunteers of any age.
Vollie quotes:
‘I’m old and it was my first time being a vollie and camping at a festival. It could not have been any better, I didn’t want to leave and am so keen to do it again.”
’‘Some of my bucket list bands ticked off that I wouldn’t have been able to do as a single mum.”
We do not finalise Volunteers and Workers until after tickets have gone on sale.
We’re seeking team players with a good attitude and strong work ethic, who treat others with respect and kindness.
At Splendour, our Event Volunteers support the entry gates, internal traffic flow, patron parking, recycling, transport logistics, and more, working alongside our paid personnel.
Shifts run from Tuesday 16 July to Monday 22 July & you could be rostered at any time during this period.
Please note that Volunteers don’t support the following areas:
If you’re a local resident (18+ years), you have the chance to join our Pre-fest Volunteer Program. It’s an exclusive opportunity tailored specifically for those in the Northern Rivers community and living locally to the venue at Ngarindjin / North Byron Parklands.
Our Pre-fest Volunteers can complete two days of work (2 x 7-hour shifts) in exchange for a 3 Day Event Ticket (limited spots available).
This is a physical role assisting our site crew with building the festival site, so a can-do attitude and strong work ethic is a must.
Please note that camping isn’t provided for Pre-fest Volunteers. If you’re interested in camping, we encourage you to apply for Event Volunteering.
Applications are open now!
