
Splendour Buses
Buses will operate to and from locations surrounding our venue at Ngarindjin / North Byron Parklands, providing frequent shuttle services to and from Splendour.
We strongly encourage you to catch one of the many bus services that will be on offer at #SITG2023.
Buses will operate to and from the following areas:
Byron Bay, Suffolk Park, Brunswick Heads, Mullumbimby, Ocean Shores, New Brighton and South Golden Beach, Crabbes Creek, Murwillumbah, Mooball and Burringbar, Pottsville, Hastings Point, Cabarita Beach, Casuarina, Kingscliff, Tweed Heads, Coolangatta and Kirra, Ballina, Alstonville, Lennox Head, Lismore, Bex Hill, Clunes, Nashua, Binna Burra and Bangalow.
You must purchase your bus ticket online before boarding the bus. Bus tickets & timetables will be announced closer to the event date.

Vehicle Passes
If you are planning to drive to Splendour you MUST pre-purchase a Vehicle Pass. You will need a pass whether you are camping on site or just parking for the day. The number of passes available each day is capped and car-pooling is highly encouraged.
Keep your motors running, Vehicle Passes will be onsale closer to the event!

To ensure a smooth entry and exit for campers with vehicles, we have split vehicle passes into DAY OF ENTRY AM and PM arrival times plus NORTH and SOUTH entries.
REMEMBER: You only need to purchase one pass per vehicle for the DAY, TIME, and ENTRY to #SITG2023, not for each day your vehicle will be onsite.

How To Get To Splendour
There are several ways you can get to #SITG2023! Please read the info below to help you plan your travels in advance.

Where is Ngarindjin / North Byron Parklands located?
Ngarindjin / North Byron Parklands is about 9km north of Brunswick Heads, 25km north of Byron Bay CBD or 40km south of Tweed Heads. It’s on Tweed Valley Way, about 1.3km north of the Yelgun interchange off the Pacific Motorway. Buses will run to and from surrounding locations. Ngarindjin / North Byron Parklands is approximately a 20 minute drive from Byron Bay. The address is 126 Tweed Valley Way, Yelgun, NSW, 2483.

How do I get to Ngarindjin / North Byron Parklands?
Ngarindjin / North Byron Parklands is approximately 30 minutes south of the Gold Coast airport and 40 minutes north of Ballina Byron Gateway Airport.
If you’re coming by car:
Coming from Byron (travelling North)
- Travel North on Pacific Motorway (M1)
- Take off ramp for Ocean Shores – Brunswick Valley Exit (just past Brunswick Heads)
- Follow Festival signs to Ngarindjin / North Byron Parklands
Coming from Brisbane (travelling South)
- Travel south on Pacific Motorway (M1)
- Continue past first Tweed Valley Way exit
- Take Cudgera Creek Rd exit towards Pottsville
- Follow Festival signs to Ngarindjin / North Byron Parklands
#SITG2023 is located at the beautiful Ngarindjin / North Byron Parklands and is approximately 30 minutes south of the Gold Coast Airport and 40 minutes north of Ballina Byron Gateway Airport.
If you are arriving by vehicle:
SOUTH ENTRY VEHICLE PASS (CAMPERS ONLY)
Purchase a SOUTH vehicle pass if you are camping and driving from the SOUTH (i.e., Sydney, Ballina, Byron Bay).
Purchase this pass if you wish to Camp Without Car (your car is parked away from your campsite), Family Campground, Wow Tents & Tent City Hire.
- Travel north on M1 Pacific Motorway
- Exit M1 at Brunswick Valley Way, Ocean Shores (just past Brunswick Heads)
- Follow Festival signs entry via Tweed Valley Way
NORTH ENTRY VEHICLE PASS (CAMPERS ONLY)
Purchase a NORTH vehicle pass if you are camping and drriving frrom the NORTH (i.e., Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast).
- Travel south on M1 Pacific Motorway
- Continue past first Tweed Valley Way exit
- Exit M1 at Cudgera Creek Road Pottsville
- Follow Festival signs entry at Wooyung Road

Private Shuttles

Taking a Private Transfer or Airport Shuttle
A private transfer or airport shuttle is a good option if you are traveling from any of the local airports.
For a private sedan or limousine transfer, you can book online via Jayride.
Shuttles also operate from Ballina Byron Gateway Airport, Gold Coast Airport, and Brisbane Airport. Most have good online booking facilities. Check to see if they list Splendour or Ngarindjin / North Byron Parklands as a drop-off/pick-up point. We recommend booking in advance, as these services are very popular and usually book out.

Important Notice to Private Transfer Services
All private operators planning to transport Splendour in the Grass Patrons or guests to Ngarindjin / North Byron Parklands will need to contact us for site access authorisation at: [email protected]
Please note: All Private Transfer Services must be an authorised service provider with Point to Point Transport. Unauthorised charter service vehicles are not permitted on the property.
Travelling by Plane
Byron Bay’s local airport and proud festival sponsor is about 25 mins to Byron Bay and approximately 40 mins south of the event venue. Ballina Byron Gateway Airport has heaps of flight options with airlines partners – Jetstar, Virgin, QANTAS, and FlyPelican. With an all-day café and bar serving up a great range of local Northern Rivers produce and a travel essentials store, the airport is an easy way to fly to and from the festival.

Gold Coast Airport is located north of the venue and is approximately 44km away.
Brisbane Airport, is about 1.75 hours north by car, is also an option.

You can purchase a train ticket to Byron Bay BUT the train trip only takes you to Casino (from Sydney) or Grafton (from Brisbane). The Casino XPT and Brisbane XPT both run daily from Sydney with connecting coaches to Byron Bay from Casino or Grafton.
These services drop off and collect from the Transit Centre in the centre of Byron Bay township https://transportnsw.info/regional.
Taxis and Rideshare operators will be directed to a designated zone on site.

Those of you riding pushbikes to the festival can leave them at the bike “corral” located in the north carpark close to the pedestrian entry. Follow the signs once you’ve ridden through the tunnel.
Do not just leave bikes up against fences or in pedestrian walkways as they will be removed. When riding please take care on local roads and inside the venue. Watch out for pedestrians.
Don’t ride your bike if you are over the limit. Motorbikes can park in the carpark for free. They do not require a vehicle pass.
If you’re coming from the North, our closest service station is Crabbes Creek General Store, open 7am – 6pm. If you’re coming from the South, the Ampol at Brunswick Heads operates 24 hours a day.
Please note THERE IS NO PEDESTRIAN ACCESS to Ngarindjin / North Byron Parklands. In other words, you will not be able to walk there from nearby locations.
When driving long distances, remember to avoid fatigue by taking regular breaks or sharing the driving. It’s also worth noting that the Taree to Queensland border stretch of the Pacific Highway is recognised as a high accident area. Please take it easy on the road.
Before setting out, it’s worth checking road conditions and potential roadwork delays. In NSW, call Roads and Maritime Service on 132 701 or go to livetraffic.com; for QLD call 13 19 40 or visit qldtraffic.qld.gov.au .
Please note there is NO PEDESTRIAN ACCESS to North Byron Parklands.
There is no private vehicle Drop Off & Pick Up allowed at Splendour in the Grass. We have an extensive festival bus service and encourage you to utilise one of our official bus stops.
The Brunswick Heads bus stop at Fawcett Street, is one of the closest bus stop locations to #SITG2023 where festival bus services will operate.
