Beddy Rays started making music together not long after they first met on the primary school oval back in the day. The release of weekend anthem Sobercoaster in 2020 really started shaking things up for these fun-loving larrikins. The cracker of a tune has amassed over 4.5 million streams on Spotify and echoed throughout backyards of Australia during triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2020, cementing the four-piece as one of the country’s most loveable bands. Their highly anticipated and fully independent self-titled debut album was released in July 2022 and achieved #1 Vinyl and #2 Australian Album on the ARIA charts, as well as the coveted ‘Spotlight Album’ on tastemaker radio network, triple j. With their 2023 releases Bored and Too Much (Is Too Much), these days it’s almost impossible not to recognise a Beddy Rays track. Their music has become a carefully curated recipe involving all the right ingredients: heartfelt lyrics, huge hooks, mosh-worthy riffs and a lingering sense of camaraderie and good vibes that underpins everything they create.
