Otoboke Beaver

Self-described as a “knock-out or pound cake” band, Otoboke Beaver are a punk-rock-garage quartet formed in 2009 at University in Kyoto, Japan. Their off-kilter, viciously melodic charm, incredible musicianship, and command of a stage make for a thrilling and unmissable live act and have been praised by the likes of Ryuichi Sakamoto, Dave Grohl, Iggy Pop, Tom Morello, The Cribs, Lars Ulrich, The Offspring’s Noodles, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith plus Flea, and more. 2017 was a breakthrough year for the band, with attention from Pitchfork, NPR, i-D, The Fader and more, as well as acclaimed debuts at SXSW and FujiRock Festival. After kicking things off at the 2019 SXSW music opening party and a run of wild showcases, the band released new album Itekoma Hits, receiving widespread acclaim from the likes of Pitchfork, Stereogum, NYLON, BrooklynVegan and many more. In 2022, they released new album Super Champon, and went on a festival run in Europe including Primavera Sound, Roskilde, and Pohoda Festival, including their debut North American tour. 2023 saw the band continue their path to world domination with sellout shows across North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
