Tkay Maidza

Zimbabwe-born, Australia-raised, Takudzwa Victoria Maidza aka Tkay Maidza has established herself as one of the most exciting voices in alternative hip-hop, R&B, and dance, with sets at Reading and Leeds, Pukkelpop, Lowlands Festival, Governors Ball, Splendour in the Grass, Hangout Festival, Way Out West, and Pstereo Festival, to name a few. She has toured the world with renowned artists such as Billie Eillish, Dua Lipa, Mark Ronson, Charli XCX, Rita Ora, RL Grimes, and Troye Sivan, among others. 2020 raised Maidza to new heights with the release of her Last Year Was Weird, Vol. 2 EP. Its impact saw her image splashed on billboards in New York’s Time Square, in features with Pitchfork and British Vogue, and included on the FIFA Soundtrack. In 2021, the third, and final chapter, of Last Year Was Weird, was released and firmly established Tkay Maidza as an artist of global importance. For the holiday season 2022, Tkay released Nights in December to rave reviews. 2023 promises to be a stellar year with several high-profile features coming alongside her own album, a global tour and a performance slot at Splendour.
