The Lumineers released their eponymous debut album in 2012. It scored them two GRAMMY nominations and spawned chart-topping platinum singles, “Ho Hey” and “Stubborn Love”.
After years of touring the world in support of their debut album, the band released ‘Cleopatra’ in 2016. The platinum album debuted #1 on both Billboard’s Top 200 Albums Chart and the UK Albums Chart and featured the gold title track as well as the platinum single, “Ophelia”. The tour in support of Cleopatra included two sold out shows at Madison Square Garden and one at the Hollywood Bowl.
The band has also supported two of their musical heroes, including opening for U2 on their “Joshua Tree Tour” in 2017 as well as Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers on his last tour. The Streets is Mike Skinner, a native of Birmingham/Barnet in the UK – a rapper, producer, DJ, singer, writer and actor who happens to have made some of the most important British music of this millennium.
His debut album “Original Pirate Material”, released in 2002 is widely regarded to have changed the face of British rap music, and his second album “A Grand Don’t Come For Free” was a worldwide success spawning hit singles like “Fit But You Know It” and “Dry Your Eyes”.
After 5 albums and over 5 million record sales, Skinner quit The Streets and worked on other musical projects as well as reinventing himself as a successful DJ playing Bass and Grime.
In 2018, Skinner revived The Streets with his phenomenal touring band (which also features Rob Harvey of The Music on guitar/vox) for a rapturously received tour that continues into 2019.
2020 will see The Streets release a new album as well as Skinner’s debut feature film, both entitled “The Darker The Shadow The Brighter The Light”. The iconic group will blow your mind at Splendour 2019.
American rapper Russ, notably emerged onto the music scene between 2011 and 2014, when he released an impressive 11 mixtapes – what followed, was 87 consecutive weekly singles released to his SoundCloud account – where a mass audience discovered his sound and vibe as an artist. In 2017, Russ delivered his debut album ‘THERE’S REALLY A WOLF’, where Russ achieved the rare feat of a platinum debut. Each song on the record was entirely produced, mixed, mastered, engineered, written and record by Russ himself. The diverse 20 track album achieved a number of multi-platinum and gold certification singles, including both of his Billboard Hot 100-charting tracks ‘What They Want’ and ‘Losin Control’.

Then launching into a summer of high profile festival appearances (not to mention a sold out headline show at London’s legendary, 5000 capacity Brixton Academy), Friendly Fires would go on to headline some of the UK’s best loved in addition to show-stealing performances if front of hundreds of thousands of fans around the world. Detroit wunderkind Kyle Hall has been actively involved in the house music scene since age 11, when local legend DJ Raybone Jones taught him how to spin records. Subsequently, under the auspices of such notable mentors as Rick Wilhite (Three Chairs) and Mike Huckaby, Hall developed a rich understanding of the city’s deep house underground. By his early teens, Hall was already performing radio and club shows around the area.
Hall’s first break as a producer came at age 16, when he was approached by deep house luminary Omar-S, whose FXHE label released his debut record and introduced his music to a wider audience for the first time. Since then, Hall has enjoyed continued support from Omar-S, whose recent Fabric radio mix consisted solely of Kyle Hall productions. Thus, having enlisted the support of the Motor City’s house elite, the stage was set for Hall to gain recognition as a respected artist in his own right.

Some DJs burst upon the scene like a supernova, fading just as quickly. Others take years, even decades, to make their way—but those are the ones who make the most impact. Mike Servito is a prime example of the latter. He’s perfected a jacking style that equal parts house, acid and techno, a sound that pays homage to the past while being very much of-the-moment.

His trifecta of imprints continues to turn heads via regularly releasing some of their most acclaimed music to date on a nearly monthly basis from the likes of D.Tiffany, Gnork & Ciel to name a few. All the while, Wildblood has been enjoying his most active year as a DJ in clubs and festivals across the continents. On his recent solo EP, Grab the Wheel on all my thoughts, he experiments further from his signature jazz-infused sound to explore more 90s-tinged dancefloor styles, from deep melodic garage to atmospheric Chicago house, and even reverb-soaked dub techno. Maintaining his sensual and rhythmic approach, while armed with a diverse collection of club tracks, moving into 2019, Wildblood continues to make a name for himself.
New Zealand four-piece The Beths channel their longtime friendship into high-energy guitar pop with a smart lyrical bite. 2018 was their breakout year, beginning with a signing to Carpark Records and Dew Process Records, before releasing their internationally acclaimed debut album ‘Future Me Hates Me’, which was heralded as one the standout music releases of that year. Set Mo is an electronic music duo from Sydney, Australia. Nick Drabble and Stu Turner first came together as a DJ combo in 2012 and soon progressed into producing tunes. Formed in a North Carolina dormitory in 2012, The Nude Party celebrates the clanging frat rock of the ‘60s. Originating as an extended group of childhood friends and step-siblings who decided to start a band and then began learning to play instruments, The Nude Party took root at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.
Soon after coming together, the sextet soon moved into a lake house and started a nightly ritual of jamming in the basement. It was at a regular gig as the house band at a certain Boone party locale that the group’s practice of performing in the buff earned them a local reputation as “the naked party band.” They adopted the moniker The Nude Party just in time to move onto bookings at local clubs and bars, where they had to perform clothed.
As word of their rawness and good-times sprit spread, New West signed the group for their full-length debut. “The Nude Party” was released in July of 2018, and was heralded by Rolling Stone as “equal parts ‘I’m Waiting for the Man’ Velvet Underground and Exile on Main Street Stones.” In the year following their release, the band has opened for the likes of The Arctic Monkeys and Jack White, with plans to continue touring with over 150 dates globally in 2019.
Nathan Micay (FKA Bwana) is a Berlin based artist with plenty of hits already under his belt. Over the past 18 months Kaiit has been sweeping the stages and airways with style and grace, performing with the likes of The Internet, Smino, and Tank and the Bangers, alongside performance’s at some of Australia’s most loved festivals including Golden Plains, Strawberry Fields, A Festival Called Panama and Dark Mofo.
The release of her debut ep ‘Live From Her Room’ put her on the radar of soul royalty Miss Jill Scott, who called her ‘the love child of Miss Scott and Eryka Badu’. She went on to sell out a 13 date Australian and New Zealand tour.
2018 showed no signs of slowing down for this young songstress, with The Age Music Victoria Awards awarding her the “Archie Roach Foundation Award for Emerging Talent” before rounding out the year with a performance for Zane Lowe’s Beats One showcase, cementing her as one of Australia’s fast rising talents.

MorMor, the moniker of rising singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Seth Nyquist, crafts ambitious and genre-bending pop songs that declare the arrival of a new talent. Raised by Scandinavian adoptive parents and inspired by his African and Caribbean heritage, MorMor infuses his music with a tapestry of influences, mirroring the diversity of his hometown of Toronto.

Erthlings are a band a lifetime in the making. Issy, Jessame, Taylor and Lissa came together at a music school in Sydney at age 8, started writing songs by the time they were 9 and now, aged 16, they’re ready to share their sound.
Erthlings’ songs are built from electronic and live sounds. Everything they write draws from personal experience, vignettes of the things they’ve seen and those they’ve lived through. Some tracks are full of attitude, strength, empowerment and sass. Others delve into frustration, disappointment, failed friendships and bridges burned — experiences given voice by four young women who won’t be boxed in. Bergen-Rimini-Chicago-Honolulu-Detroit-Jupiter-Manchester is a rough cut of the sonic map on which Telephones travels. Starting with primitive PC-software and DJing in the late 90s, Telephones debuted in his hometown Bergen, Norway at the turn of the century. Since then he has equally focused on production and DJing, now with over 18 years experience behind the decks.
A firm believer in quality over quantity, Telephones has released a sparse, but highly sought after discography on acclaimed underground-lables like Running Back, Sex Tags UFO, Acido, Love On The Rocks and Full Pupp.
Moaning Lisa are the product of four Canberra natives who find purpose in making loud noises together. Their songs never shy away from honest, frank observations of their everyday lives: sardonic, yet uplifting; angsty, yet clever; unique, yet relatable.
Operating on the edge of the grunge genre, think somewhere between composed restraint and fuzzed-out, life-affirming alternative rock, Moaning Lisa create an atmosphere entirely of their own. Their raucous live shows have seen them support the likes of Mitski, DZ Deathrays, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and more.

An electronic music specialist at FBi Radio, Andy Garvey is the voice of weekly radio show Pure Space. With an ear finely tuned to the workings of the diverse local and international dance music community, Andy introduces some of the world’s most interesting electronic acts to Sydney airwaves. Her discerning taste and effortless on-air presenting style have also caught the
attention of triple j where she has found a home at Mix Up.
Off air Andy continues to light the fire under packed club floors around Australia with her eclectic mix of carefully curated tracks. She’s recently warmed floors for Legowelt, Florian Kupfer, Julio Bashmore, Kornel Kovacs, Jayda G, Sleep D, Mall Grab, Cyril Hahn and Anthony Naples, and is a regular fixture at Club 77, Vibe Positive and Future Classic hosted events.
Having spent the last 12 months in the studio and on the road honing his craft, this 22-year-old Wollongong native, who now resides in Melbourne has a huge year ahead. It’s songs like ‘Graceful’ that have transformed Organ’s career in the last 12 months. After originally finding fame through performing acoustic covers on Youtube, he now boasts over a million streams of his own material, as well as praise from the likes of triple j, The Music, Pilerats, Best Before, and The AU Review, just to name a few.
His breakout single, ‘Watch You Go,’ was released at the end of last year – a heartfelt song written for his late father – and became his first song to be added to rotation on triple j. Since its release, he’s sold out solo tours and supported and performed alongside big name acts like Jake Bugg and Lanks, and label mate Mallrat.
Lastlings is the artistic output of sibling duo Amy and Josh Dowdle.
Self-taught musically, the Japanese-Australian pair have devoted the better part of five years to their craft, fine tuning their song writing and production from their home in the hinterlands of Southern Queensland.
Releasing two EPs to early acclaim, the duo found themselves having to make a choice between full-time musical pursuit and allowing Amy, then sixteen, to focus on finishing high school. Resisting the pull of the industry, Amy finished her schooling and in 2018 and Lastlings returned with new music and the world at their feet.
Now signed to RÜFÜS DU SOL’s newly founded label Rose Avenue, they work towards their debut album due in late 2019, while continuing to develop their live show that has already seen them tour Australia and North America with RÜFÜS, and step onto Coachella’s DoLaB stage and this year’s Splendour in the Grass Mix-Up.
Merve is a Melbourne based DJ and curator. Laying her rhythmic roots as a programmer and agent, she has become a key selector in the Melbourne electronic music community. Driven by a keen fascination with breaking down barriers between audience and performer, Merve explores the boundaries of each space she takes to, whilst blurring the dichotomy between light and dark.
2019 saw Merve make her Boiler Room debut, recorded at Pitch festival, with both of her sets selected in the top five performances by Resident Advisor. 2018 saw her take to stages at Golden Plains, Let Them Eat Cake and Strawberry Fields. Jennifer Loveless is undoubtedly one of Melbourne’s most prolific and hardworking DJs. An ex-classically trained pianist rooted in the territory of house, her sets effortlessly move into techno and beyond, sculpting dance-floors and melting hearts. She has supported heavy hitters like Steffi, Wata Igarashi, and DJ Sprinkles – playing at major festivals and headlining countless clubs.
Noise In My Head is a freeform sonic excursion piloted by Michael Kucyk. From early beginnings as a long-running cult radio show on Melbourne’s 3RRR FM, it has become a vital nexus in the Australia music scene, and now the identity expands as a DJ, two record labels and a party series.

Rebel Yell’s diverse and adaptable sound has seen her support a vast range of international artists ranging from Orbital, Charli XCX, Brooke Candy, Pertubator, Youth Code and Australian artists These New South Whales, Rainbow Chan, Nun and more.
A finalist in Triple J’s Unearthed High competition in both 2016 and 2017, Ninajirachi’s production has been described as lush and ethereal and strikingly unique. Her debut single, “Pure Luck (feat. Freya Staer)”, topped the Spotify Australia Viral Charts, received support from Zane Lowe Beats1 and was the second most played track on triple j in 2017 before she even had a chance to graduate from high school.

Body Promise are the Sydney based duo made up of Doug Wright and Amelia Jenner. Together they DJ, host a weekly two-hour radio show on one of Australia’s most loved radio stations, FBi Radio and run a small label.
They have quickly made a name for themselves in the live arena with expansive sets spanning ambient curiosities, trippy house and techno to percussive club experiments.
They have supported the likes of Actress, Pinch, Fatima Al Qadiri, Asmara, Ansome, Alex Coulton, Versa, Florist, Turner Street Sound and Sleep D. Their live set promises to have you moving your body at this year’s Splendour in the Grass!
Hailing from Melbourne, James and Peter Isaacs are the brotherly duo Donald’s House.
Taking influence from Paradise Garage style disco, early 90s house, and anything with a DMX drum kit, their take on dance music is as refreshing as it is familiar. You’ll often hear M1 solos, chords and stabs, juxtaposed against Phil Collins styled stadium drums, and groovy basslines that just beg your body to move.
Much like their productions, their sets are centred around music that’s heart is firmly locked in the 80s. Regularly they’ll duck and weave through drum machine disco, groove oriented EBM, afro and italo records, while also paying homage to their peers with more traditional house and techno.
